Updates

Oh my goodness, we haven't updated this thing in almost a YEAR!! So nuts! Oh my so much has happened! We are still in Berkeley, California and absolutely love it. Luke still loves his job and never wants to leave! I have been working at a dental office as a receptionist. Who would have thought right? The girl with the Business and Anthropology degree a receptionist? I love it. This has been our year of traveling and babies! First we headed to France to visit my sister Rachel and her family and to welcome the 5th Gailont child!! I can't believe my sister has 5 kids (all with cute little french accents!)! She welcomed another girl into the mix! Evie was so excited to find out she would have a girl to play with instead of all of her brothers! On November 14th little Marci Anabelle Gailont was brought into the world! She is perfect and everyone adores her. It was great to spend a couple of weeks in France getting to know Marci and spending time with the family! We spent Christmas in London, it was magical and we loved it so much! In mid January my best friend and cousin Kendra had a baby too!! This is seriously the year of babies! And I can't believe everyone I know now has babies! Let me tell you Kenny and Darin make beautiful babies! Little Lee Robinson White is such a handsome little fellow! I was so glad I got to travel down to San Diego to spend time with Kenny and her little family! My little sister Beven also had another baby! My goodness! So in March Luke and I went down to Arizona to meet Holden Thomas Palmer he is a cutie too! His big brother Alex adores him! How does my little sister have 2 kids now? For real it's crazy! My other little sibling Owen and his wife Annie also welcomed a new member into their family, Henry Dale! He looks just like Owen, so glad we got to go to Illinois to meet him (How does Owen have 3 kids!?)! We just got back from Atlanta visiting with Luke's little sister Ellie and her husband Clark, because guess what!? THEY ALSO HAD A BABY! Which is weird because I feel like we just got back from their wedding in Alabama, nope that was 2 years ago! They had a little girl, Frances Quinn Westbrook and boy is she a beauty! We are so grateful that we have such a large family and that we have the opportunity to spend time with them! We are so blessed that we can travel to all the different places of the world where our family is to be with them! In August we are traveling to Utah for my cousins wedding and then following that we are off to New Zealand!!! I'm so freaking excited! Luke has a project that he is working on and we will be there for a month! I am so grateful for my life and I feel so blessed to be an aunt to so many wonderful beings. I love each and every single one!  Mainly just our family and close friends know this but we are unable to have children. The moment we found out it broke our hearts. It still does, especially for me. It's hard for me to see all of these people I love having so many babies and I can't even have 1. It breaks my heart, which makes me feel like a terrible person. I am so happy for all of my family and friends having babies and yet I am so jealous, envious. It's a struggle I deal with daily. Even though I am unable to be a mom, I know I am so blessed to be an aunt to so many. 34 to be exact. I love each and every single one so much and I know that I am called to be their aunt. I'm so grateful for this past year and for the wonderful man I get to share eternity with. I am forever grateful we were both flying to Salt Lake on June 31st, 2004. I am so grateful our paths crossed in Detroit and I am so grateful for that clumsy attractive man who wasn't paying attention and ran into me, for I have never and will never love anyone on this earth as much as I love my Lucas Robert Walsh.

For those of you who have read or know me, my family means the world to me. Especially my siblings. I honestly don't know what I would do without them. I am so blessed to have them in my life. I am so blessed to also be an aunt to amazing kids! Luke and I both come from big families and we have lots of nieces and nephews. Honey... we need to talk

Doesn't that phrase always make you nervous? Yea, me too. So i haven't updated in a LONG time. In the couple of months of my absence, Luke and I moved to Chicago. He was offered an insanely awesome promotion and it was a mutual decision that we defiantly should accept and make the move to Illinois. So we did, we moved in September. You do the math we have been here for 5 MONTHS yea 5, only 5. So naturally when Luke walks in and says "Honey... we need to talk." I get freaked out thinking " oh my gosh what happened? did someone die? are we pregnant? why am i thinking we are pregnant? I would know before him. Did i do something wrong? oh gosh did I forget to take my hair out of he drain? he hates that. OH MY GOSH IS HE DYING?" haha my mind is a weird one. So after I say ok he goes on in the sweetest way..." I just want you to know how much I love you and how grateful I am for all that you have given up for me to follow my dreams, and for moving anywhere for me. I really appreciate all you have done for me." I get instantly freaked out and i'm a bit stunned so I just say" Um yea, you know I love you too and would do anything for you. Babe?" Luke:" Yea." Me:" Are you dying or something?" Luke literally began hysterically laughing. I was so not amused, still thinking the worst. After he has calmed down a little he proceeds to tell me that he got offered a job. Now I know what you are thinking...we just barely moved here, so was I. A couple of months before Luke got offered the promotion and we moved here to the windy city, Luke was interviewing for a job at a different company. He didn't get it and then he got offered the promotion at his current job so we thought maybe that was the right thing and we completely forgot about the other job. Turns out the boss at the other company did not. So Luke got a call on the way home from one of his business trips and it turned out to be *Mike from the other company expressing how wonderful and how perfect Luke was for a position that opened up and offered him the job over the phone. Luke said he was absolutely stunned and told him that he would have to think about it and talk to me and let him know. So he did just that. Apparently my hunny buns didn't even want to talk to me about it until he knew it's what he wanted. I had no idea he had got the call until 4 days after *Mike called him. I was mad when he said he had called 4 days ago but then hunny bee made up for it saying" Look I didn't want to tell you until I was sure it was something I wanted because it involves a move and I know how you feel about moving So I didn't want to worry you and add extra stress." For those of you who know, I have moved all my life. I have lived practically in every state. I moved 12 times before I was 10. I have lived everywhere and the thought of moving does stress me out. Why? because it's hard to make a connection with people when you will be gone before the school year is over.( referencing me growing up) It's actually very sad, Luke has all these childhood friends that he has known forever. Me? Not one. Well that's not true. I do have one, Kendra Leanne Robinson ( well now White because Kenny got married!!) but shes my cousin so does that count? My family never stayed in the same place long enough for me to make friends let alone keep in touch with any. But don't get me wrong I am so grateful for my hard working pappa. Yes he moved us around a lot but it was for good jobs and I am so grateful for all he has done for our family and I'm so glad my parents had a lot of kids because we are all the best of friends. We are the only childhood friends each other has and I am so grateful for them. So yea now you know why he didn't tell me and after thinking about it, it was very sweet. SOO anyway after we talked about it and weighed every pro and con, we are moving yet again. We just barely got everything unpacked. I mean I am excited for Luke and for this oppurtunity but I mean how many times do I have to move in my life? This will be my 26th move in my 27 years. Yea can you believe that? Honestly how crazy is that. Absolutely LOCO. But my dear sweet Luke I want you to know how incredibly grateful I am for you. You make life so much better. You are kind, sweet, loving, hilarious, super duper handsome, a great husband, a hard worker and my best friend. Thank you for running into my life(literally) and for asking me to join you on your adventure called life. Even though I don't like moving, I will go anywhere for you. Really. You mean the world to me. I love you. Your wife, Staci

Really?

The last couple of weeks have been great! Luke and I traveled to Utah for our nephew Keegan's Baptism! I can't believe he is 8 already, boy does time go by fast. It has been great being out here and catching up with friends and family that we haven't seen in a while do to our trek out east. Luke and I are used to 80 degree weather out here in sunny/rainy PA so when we stepped off the plane and saw snow, we were not prepared in the slightest! I'm so happy Luke and I could come out for 2 weeks and spend some quality time with his family, it's always a blast being with the Walsh/ Kendig/ Martin/ Hawkins and Rime family aka Lukes side ♥
